The gallery represents pioneering first exponents of photography including William Henry Fox Talbot, Gustave Le Gray, Charles Marville, Roger Fenton and Captain Linnaeus Tripe through to the rural photography of P.H. Emerson taken in East Anglia in the 1880's and 1890's. Works are also available by lesser-known figures such as Thomas Elmore and WH Guebhard.
